We are in search of a passionate, highly organized Product Manager with excellent strategy and communication skills to help us develop, prioritize, and manage all of our product goals and initiatives. This role is an unique opportunity for a stellar leader to help create a  category-defining product from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be excited about owning the entire Product Development Lifecycle process, possess great interpersonal and managerial skills, and share our love for open source and startup life. We are looking for an experienced leader who excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be working closely with the technical founder and a small team of developers, designers, writers, and marketers to bring our vision to life. This master communicator would enjoy sharing our product vision as we strive to bring various stakeholders on board, including: new team members, open source developers, potential customers, and investors.  

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the product strategy, vision, roadmap, features, launch plan, and prioritize these initiatives within a reasonably set timeline

• Define and refine user needs, write clear and actionable requirements, and translate requirements into a design or MVP (Minimum Viable Product)

• Help develop the core positioning and messaging for the product

• Perform product demos to customers, and keep records of customer feedback

• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities

• Set product pricing, revenue forecasts, budget, and profitability goals

• Develop sales tools and marketing collateral

• Act as a team leader, managing and motivating cross-functional teams

• Work closely with the Junior Product Manager/Project Manager to delegate tasks and keep us on track

• Collaboratively create, share, and maintain short, medium, and long-term goals to keep everyone on track

• Communicate frequently with all team members and external stakeholders on product and project status

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a Product Manager, with demonstrated success defining and launching outstanding products. (You will be asked to provide us with documentation produced in the past for review).

• Bachelor’s degree. Major in related field Business, Computer Science desired Engineering, Information Technology (or equivalent relevant work experience)

• Strong managerial skills, experience collaborating in a fast-paced start-up environment

• Strong project management skills: Planning, scheduling, organizing, communicating, prioritizing, executing, and monitoring

• Excellent written and verbal communications across both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

• Technical background and clear understanding of developer products.

• Experience with building SaaS products

• Experience and/or passion for working with open source projects is a big plus

• Comfortable with agile development processes: sprints, code reviews, test driven development and continuous integration

• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) desired

• Experience with DevOps tools and processes desired
