Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Python Engineer to join our team and help us to build a free and open cloud! The focus on this role is to help us to develop our open source DevOps cloud platform. The ideal candidate should be excited about the future of open source, an expert with Python, experienced with all current DevOps tools such as Terraform and Ansible, familiar with Gitlab and Kubernetes, experience with Cloud provider APIs (AWS,GCP, Azure) and DevOps platforms desired, comfortable with agile development processes, able to collaborate with developer and designers. You will be working closely with the technical founder and a small team of developers and your work will be open source. Experience working with open source projects is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
Implement enhancements to our GitOps tools Unfurl (see https://unfurl.run)
Help integrate Unfurl into our DevOps platform that extends Gitlab’s open source platform.
Participate in architectural design and decision making for Unfurl
Requirements:
Very strong Python skills
Experience developing medium to large Python applications or libraries (not scripts)
Experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform and Ansible desired
Comfortable with agile development processes: sprints, code reviews, test driven development and continuous integration
Strong communication skills
